Registering a company electronically: How it works

Registering a company electronically through Cleardocs is a 2-stage process.

Stage 1: Enter information required to form a company

1. Select the company you wish to create: Small Business Bundle, Company, Public Company Limited by Guarantee or Not for Profit Company.
2. Select Buy and enter all the information required. Cleardocs will validate what is entered to ensure all required fields have been entered and meet ASIC requirements eg ASIC will reject your registration if a Director is under 18.
3. Review all the information entered is correct. Pay particular attention to spelling, dates & addresses.
4. Accept Terms and Conditions and pay by credit card.
5. Download and review all documents.
   1. Included is a document called "Establishment Kit". The Establishment Kit gives you an overview and explains what you need to do next.
6. Sign the documents.
7. Now you are ready to lodge with ASIC electronically through Cleardocs.

Stage 2: Lodging your company and receiving the ACN

1. Return to https://www.cleardocs.com.
2. Find the company you created. Expand the view and click on "Pay ASIC".
3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and pay by credit card the $597.00 ASIC fee.
4. Click "Lodge the form 201 with ASIC" to lodge your company application with ASIC.
5. The company is registered once ASIC has reviewed and approved your application. This typically takes 5-10 minutes.
   1. You will receive the ACN, the Certificate of Registration, company constitution, Share Certificates and various other documents.
